Through its location on the hill many of the rooms at the hotel have spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Avalon. In addition the hotel offers a rooftop patio where a continental breakfast is served in the mornings and allow guests unobstructed views of the island, harbor and ocean. The hotel caters almost exclusively to either solo travelers or couples as all the rooms, except for the Auora suite have only one bed. The rooms at the Aurora hotel are fairly on the small side. Visitors who have walking problems will need to take either a taxi or golf cart up the hill to the hotel as the walk to the hotel from the center of Avalon can be steep.
