Located on Wilshire Blvd in the heart of the Miracle Mile District on Museum Row is the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The museum is a seven building complex spread out over 20 acres and is the largest art museum in the Western US.

LACMA offers a variety of art collections from every historical period and geographical location around the world. Throughout the year LACMA hosts a variety of traveling art exhibits from various parts of the world that are on display for 2 to 3 months at a time. In 2009 various exhibits have included the Pompeii and the Roman Villa: Art and Culture from around the bay of Naples, 12 contemporary artists from Korea and Five Centuries of Indonesian Textiles.

LACMA is located on what is called Museum Row on Wilshire Blvd in the Miracle Mile neighborhood of Los Angeles. Including LACMA the other museum of interest is the La Brea Tar Pits right next door. Admission to the museum is $25.00 and there is an additional $7.00 parking fee. However there is 2 hour meter parking along Wilshire and on side residential streets. Be aware of signs and restrictions on some of the side streets as many of the areas are highly restricted by permit parking zones.
