The Avalon Hotel is a swanky, chic and fun four star property located on the southern edge of Beverly Hills. The Hotel caters to the hip, frequent traveler, upscale young crowd. Located on Olympic Blvd the hotel about a 5 minute drive from the main shopping areas of Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Blvd.
Upon entering The Avalon Hotel the visitor will right away notice that although the hotel is upscale, it has an atmosphere that reeks of hip and trendy that the other Beverly HIlls hotels do not have. The hotel has an outdoor feel where are all the rooms are centered around a central pool. The hotel has an overall hip and young Hollywood vibe.
The hotel over the years has made a point to be known by its poolside bar and restaurant. Its latest incarnation is the Oliverio Restaurant. When the sun goes down this restaurant comes to life with many Beverly Hills and LA locals enjoying the food and the scene. Private cabanas line the pool side and the rooms all have easy access. The overall ambiance of the hotel is a 1960s luxury-hip feel.
Visitors looking to visit Santa Monica, Venice and Century City will find the Avalon to be somewhat convenient as Olympic Blvd travels to all these areas (except Venice). It should be noted that travel times at rush hour can be up to 40 minutes. A >visit to Hollywood will also be up to 40 minutes at peak travel times.
