Where Santa Monica Blvd crosses over Wilshire Blvd in the center of Beverly Hills, stands the majestic Beverly Hilton Hotel. Opened in 1953 by Conrad Hilton, the hotel has maintained a strong history of celebrity stays, charity events and high profile star studded affairs. It is from the Beverly Hilton that the Golden Globe Awards are held every year.
Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, the Beverly Hilton stands where Santa Monica and Wilshire Blvds cross over. By proceeding down Santa Monica Blvd to the east, towards West Hollywood you can easily have walking access to all the best things Beverly Hills has to offer from the Beverly Hilton. From shopping on Rodeo Drive to the shopping area of Wilshire Blvd to the multi million dollar estates of the Rich and Famous, all of it is very accessible from this location. In addition to the west, lies a short drive to Century City, Westwood and Santa Monica. Out of all the hotels in Los Angeles, the Beverly Hilton is most likely the most conveniently located and most central.
The lobby of the Beverly Hilton has an open and expansive feel. The floors are marble and there is a central lounge in the main check in area where you can order a cocktail and relax. The driveway to the lobby comes in from both Wilshire and Santa Monica Blvd where there is a valet and a central fountain.
The hotel divides its accommodations into three categories: Deluxe Tower, Cabana Accommodations and Standard Accommodations. Deluxe Tower is located on the highest terrace and offers city views of all of Beverly Hills, Century City and West Los Angeles. Cabana Accommodations are located poolside and give guests a very tropical island resort feel. Finally Standard Accommodations are the standard suites located throughout the main floor of the hotels and provide the standard luxuries one would come to expect from Hilton Hotels.
When President Obama stayed at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on his visit to Los Angeles in May of 2009 and in August 2010.
