Located right on the beach and adjacent to the Santa Monica pier is the Casa Del Mar hotel . A first class hotel combined with old style elegance, the Casa Del Mar is the perfect place to stay for those looking to enjoy the sunshine, beach and pure ocean breeze. Passing right in front of the hotel along the beach is the Santa Monica bike path. Make a right on path and you will be taken right into the Santa Monica Pier and if you stay on the path you can eventually end up in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles. Make a left and you can walk down into Venice Beach. Casa Del Mar is located at the termination of Pico Blvd right off of Ocean Avenue and is adjacent to several luxury hotel properties along the beach including Shutters, Lowes and Hotel California. Casa Del Mar is easy walking distance to fine dining along Ocean Avenue and shopping such as the the 3rd Street Promenade.
One of the coolest attractions of the Hotel Casa Del Mar is the Veranda Dining area. Located on the other side of the lobby, this area is a bar restaurant where with 360 panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica beach. It is here you can enjoy your favorite cocktail while enjoying the sunset, Sunday Brunch or a full business lunch while the midday surfers and roller bladers cruise by on the path below.
The Hotel Casa Del Mar is not alone along Ocean Avenue. The hotel also shares the beach with Lowe, Shutters, JW Marriott and the Hotel California.
If you have travel plans that will take you to other parts of Los Angeles such as a visit to Beverly Hills the San Fernando Valley or Hollywood note traffic at peak times can make travel to these areas from Casa Del Mar up to an hour. On weekends and off peak times it is only 20 minutes at the most. Casa Del Mar is easy access to the PCH and Malibu. If you are more content on staying on the beach and almost exclusively on the westside, Casa Del Mar is a good match. You will need a car to get access to conveince stores.
