Located along Highland Avenue, the hotel is situated along a row of hotels along a strip of Highland north of Franklin and adjacent to the Hollywood and Highlands Complex that include the Holiday Inn Express, Hollywood Heights Hotel and the Best Western Hollywood. The Comfort Inn is a clean and efficient property and is in a very safe part of the Hollywood. Within a few minutes of the hotel by foot is the Hollywood and Highlands complex. From here visitors can walk the Walk of Fame, dine at countless restaurants, see clear views of the Hollywood sign, see the Grauman's Chinese theatre and board hourly buses to see all of LA. In addition there is a subway line from this location where visitors can get direct access to either Universal Studios or Downtown LA.
The Comfort Inn on Highland Avenue is a smaller property that gives a somewhat boutique feel. However the hotel is clean, efficient and is ideal for those travelers on a budget, traveling solo or even with a family.
If you plan on seeing the sights on your own beyond the Hollywood area, you will need a car when staying at this hotel. Both a visit to Beverly Hills and West Hollywood are convenient drives, under 20 minutes. In addition entrance to the 101 is right around the corner where you can get to Universal Studios and Downtown LA in under 10 minutes. However if you are planning a trip to the west side to the beaches, Venice, Santa Monica or Brentwood, the trip west came take up to 45 minutes on peak rush hour times.
