The Hollywood Celebrity Hotel is a small, quaint-bed and breakfast style accommodation locate in the heart of Hollywood on a quiet residential street near Hollywood Blvd. The hotel is one of the most well placed properties in all of Hollywood and is perfect for families or solo travelers on a budget looking to stay somewhere that is clean, safe and in the heart of all the excitement.
The hotel is located on a small side street called Orchid Avenue that runs off of Franklin Blvd. Orchid Avenue actually dead ends on the backside of the Hollywood and Highlands Center. The Hollywood and Highlands Center is home to all the sights and attractions of Hollywood. The Kodak Theatre is housed here as well as Mann's Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Walk of Fame. Frequent tour buses depart from this location to points all over Los Angeles including Beverly Hills and tours of celebrity homes. The LA subway line has a stop at the Hollywood and Highlands Center that takes visitors nonstop to Universal Studios or to direct service to Downtown Los Angeles. The walk to the Hollywood and Highlands Center from the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel is less than five minutes.
The general neighborhood the hotel is located is safe and quiet although Franklin Blvd has heavy car and pedestrian traffic. The Hollywood Celebrity is a ideal for those traveling on a budget or with children and caters itself to all things Hollywood. Each of the rooms is decorated with murals of 1930s celebrities to add to the excitement of being in Hollywood. The hotel is known to have a friendly staff that are very knowledgeable about the surrounding neighborhood and even have tickets to Universal Studios for sale at the front desk.
For those not wanting to rent a car, the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel is an ideal stay in that it is so close to the Hollywood and Highlands Center. Guests can spend a weekend at this hotel and see all the sights of LA from just riding the tour buses and taking the subway to Universal Studios and the bus to the beaches. But those looking to have a sense of more intimate exploration of other neighborhoods of LA will find its best to have a car. Travel times to Beverly Hills in off hours (after 7 and on weekends) is only 15 minutes or less. However duing rush hour the times can be up to 30-40 minutes. Travel time to the beaches in Santa Monica and Venice during rush hour can be up to an hour.
