The hotel is located on Highland Avenue which is an extremely busy stretch through the Hollywood area. At all hours of the day this area of Highland is heavy traffic but yet exudes the fun and ambiance of LA. This area of Hollywood on Highland Ave has several hotels that are safe and clean. This area of Highland is home to several other hotel properties as well including a Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Inn and Best Western Holywood Plaza..
The Hollywood Heights Hotel is a tall structure with many of the rooms facing north and to the east towards the Hollywood sign. The rooms are comfortable and enjoy unique amenities not found at other area hotels. The hotel also offers several dining options on the property, including a restaurant called The Hideout.. The hotel goes out of its way to create an "old Hollywood" experience with framed pictures of past movie stars from Hollywood's golden era in the hallways and lobby as well as a bar area called The Producer's Lounge.
If you plan on seeing the sights on your own beyond the Hollywood area, you will need a car when staying at this hotel. Both Beverly Hills and West Hollywood are convenient drives, under 20 minutes. In addition entrance to the 101 is right around the corner where you can get to Universal Studios and Downtown LA in under 10 minutes. However if you are planning a trip to the westside to the beaches, Venice, Santa Monica or Brentwood, the trip west came take up to 45 minutes on peak rush hour times.
