Located right on the Ocean Front Walk in Venice Beach, the hotel is a multi story block looking structure with fluorescent orange awnings coming off individual rooms. The rooftop of the hotel hosts a lounge called High that attracts a high following of locals and visitors alike where cocktails flow, the music beats and the views of the Pacific Ocean, the activity of Venice below and Downtown and Hollywood in the distance are spectacular. Hotel Erwin definitely targets the hip, globe trotter looking for an edge and something different type of crowd.
The Hotel Erwin is centrally located in Venice. This means upon stepping out the lobby door on Pacific Avenue, whether you make a right or left you will find yourself in the heart of Venice Beach. Within steps Muscle Beach, Ocean Front Walk, dozens of T-shirt, art and other diverse vendors are seconds away. Looking for a bite to eat? Hotel Erwin is also a hop to a variety of choices from California healthy alternative, to pizza to seafood. Depending on what side of the hotel your room is, you will either have a view of the Pacific and Ocean Front Walk below, a view looking towards Malibu and the shoreline into Santa Monica, a view looking south along the shoreline to Marina Del Rey and LAX or east into greater LA, Hollywood and Downtown.
Although centrally located in Venice, Santa Monica is a easy bike ride/roller blading, or if up to it, walk up the coast by about 20 minutes. If going by car, Santa Monica is less than 5. Marina Del Rey is also less than a 5 minute car ride from this location and LAX is conveniently located nearby.
