When stepping out of the lobby of the Mondrian Hotel, making either a right or a left, and you will be in the heart of the Sunset Strip. Surrounded by night clubs (the House of Blues, The Comedy Club and Miyagis, restaurants, cafes, shopping as well as the in the evening time the flash of electronic billboards, the Sunset Strip is a delight and strong pull for all the senses. Note that if you are looking to get to Brentwood, Santa Monica or the westside during peak rush hours, the drive maybe as long as an hour. On off times and weekends the drive is 20 minutes or less.
Due to the high traffic area of the Sunset Strip, maneuvering this area via an automobile can be tricky. During evening and weekends this stretch often becomes grid locked with party goers, visitors and locals. You will find a heavy police force along this stretch during these times as well. In addition during the evenings and weekends there is a great deal of foot traffic along the sidewalk in front of the hotel.
