The Ramada West Hollywood is located in the heart of the Gay and Lesbian district along busy Santa Monica Blvd. The hotel is centrally located amongst dozens of dining, cafe and shopping options. As Santa Monica Blvd is the epicenter of a lot of the cities parades, marches and events, the Ramada is an ideal place to book a room and just observe.
As far as location goes if you are looking to spend a lot of your time along the busy Santa Monica Blvd, there is only one other hotel, the Palihouse that allows travelers to make their stay on this fun, hip part of West Hollywood. By heading west away from the Ramada along Santa Monica Blvd, you will encounter everything that is fun and Gay of West Hollywood. From boutique shops, gyms and cafes, you'll notice the laid back yet diverse feel that West Hollywood has to offer. About a half mile from the Ramada you will end up at the intersection of Robertson and Santa Monica Blvds where the hub of the West Hollywood LGBT gay social scene resides. The Sunset Strip is also a quick walking distance up La Cienega.
As far as convenient stores and general shopping for goods and services there is an abundant selection of drug and convenience stores that are a very short walking distance around the Ramada in this part of West Hollywood. In addition, walking south on La Cienega Blvd will afford many more dining opportunities as well. Both Beverly Hills and Hollywood are convenient drives of less than ten minutes along Santa Monica Blvd from the Ramada. If you plan to spend anytime on the westside such as Santa Monica, Venice or Brentwood, note that during peak rush hour times the drive maybe up to an hour to those areas.
