The Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica is located 4 blocks inland from the coast along Pico Blvd. Situated a top of a hill, the hotel has spectacular views of the ocean, Santa Monica shoreline and notable points all up and down the coast including Malibu and Venice. Those rooms in the hotel that are not situated for the breath taking ocean views enjoy the sights of Los Angeles, Century City, Brentwood and The Getty Center. There are several different styles of rooms at the property. Some have expansive walk out balconies that face west where you sit out and enjoy the ocean breeze while taking in the view of the Pacific, while others have more of a confined balcony and face north and southward. The hotel is nine stories tall and includes a ballroom at the top level as well as an outdoor pool. The ballroom at the top also hosts a business center that affords guests sweeping 360 degree views of the ocean, mountains and greater Los Angeles.
The hotel is a 10 to 20 minute walk to the beach. The hotel is located in the central part of Santa Monica. The area immediately surrounding the hotel is more residential than it is shopping and dining like many of the other hotels that line Ocean Avenue. For visitors planning on staying in the Santa Monica and Vencie Beach areas only, the Sheraton Delfina is an ideal accommodation. In addition to the 10 to 20 minute walk to the beach, it is about the same distance to such sights as Ocean Avenue, the Santa Monica Pier and the 3rd Street Promenade for shopping. Frequent bus service also stops near the hotel taking visitors to the beach or with direct (connecting) service to Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
For the most part visitors staying at this property will need a car. If your travels take you away from Santa Monica, Venice Beach is conveniently located nearby but Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Hollywood can be up to a 45 minute drive during peak times and about 20 on off peak periods.
