The Saharan Motor Hotel located on the heart of Sunset Blvd in Hollywood represents everything one would think of when they think of LA, and visting Hollywood for a vacation. A tourist class hotel, this property is built where the rooms are entered through the outside and circle around a central pool. Add to that the ambiance of dozens of palm trees all along Sunset Blvd and how the hotel lights up at night, especially with its gigantic neon sign, you'll definitely feel like letting loose, relaxing and having fun!
The Saharan Motor Hotel is located near many of the major sights. About a mile from the Hollywood and Highland center (Walk of Fame, Kodak Theatre, hourly tour buses with tours of celebrity homes and all of LA) , 2 miles from the Sunset Strip and about 4 miles from Beverly HIlls (Sunset and Rodeo) the property is relatively convenient. You will most likely need a car to get to most if not all the sights in LA from this hotel. If you are planning on spending a lot of your time in the Hollywood, West Hollywood or even Beverly Hills, this hotel is ideal. However if you find yourself heading west to the beaches, and westside of neighborhoods of Brentwood and Bel Air, note that at rush hour the ride maybe as long as 45 minutes, (20 or less in off peak times.).
