The Thompson Hotel-Beverly Hills is a hip, swank hotel located in the heart of Beverly HIlls on Wilshire Blvd. High class, yet it distinguishes itself from other hotels in the area as being chic, hip and cool the Thompson Beverly Hills is both elegant and luxurious. Owned by the Thompson Hotel company that also operates the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, the Thompson Beverly HIlls is located down the street from the Beverly Wilshire and is in the main shopping area of Beverly HIlls.
Situated on on Wilshire Blvd, just a few blocks east of Rodeo Drive, the Thompson Hotel is a modern, tall structure housing 107 rooms. With Beverly Hills the iconic symbol of glamour, money and fame, many of the other 4 and 5 star properties in the area cater to a more traditional/elegant feel-while the Thompson is more of a younger, hip and cool vibe. The hotel has a rooftop bar and lounge that is popular with both hotel guests and the local Beverly Hills contingent. The hotel is also one of the few in the LA area to host a Sushi restaurant.
The rooms all afford amazing views of all of Beverly Hills. Depending on what side of the hotel the room is in, the traveler will get views of Rodeo Drive and Sunset Blvd, Century City and the ocean or Hollywood/West Hollywood and the Hollywood sign.
The Thompson Hotel is centrally located to all the sights of LA. It is walking distance to Rodeo Drive, the shopping areas of Wilshire Blvd and little Santa Monica Blvd. If you have a car you will find it is equal distance to travel between the Thompson and the beaches/westside as well as to West Hollywood/Hollywood areas. This area of Beverly Hills does have heavy traffic at times and Wilshire Blvd is usually a challenge to navigate during most times of the day, especially evening rush hour.
