One of the hippest newest hotels on the Ocean Avenue Strip, the Vice Roy is a mix of class, hip and elegance with a strategic location in Santa Monica and a wide variety of comforts. Located on Ocean Avenue there are two types of rooms, those with the view of the ocean and those that have a view of greater Los Angeles going inland. The hotel is a mix of shique, elegance and contemporary hip ness. The pool is lined with covered cabanas that encourage lounging out and relaxing.
The lobby of the Vice Roy is ultra chic designthat was designed by acclaimed interior designer Kelly Wearstler. The lobby features golden doorknobs, white french doors, white and green leather chairs and couches and antique white chandeliers. On the south end of the lobby is a chic bar that comes to life in the evening with locals and guests alike. Adjoining the lobby is an outdoor pool that is lined on the perimeter with cabanas where guests can lay out and sip cocktails. The property maintains 162 rooms across 8 floors. The rooms on the western front all have spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica Shoreline and Malibu. The rooms on the east side have views of the Getty Center, Century City and on clear days the Hollywood sign.
The Vice Roy is walking distance to such sights as the beach, third Street Promenade and shopping. In addition, the entrance to the PCH is nearby for convenient hops up to Malibu or a connection to the 10 freeway into downtown and Hollywood. The Vice Roy is on the furthest western extreme of the LA area along the ocean, therefore if traveling during peak travel times, the drive time to such locales as Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Downtown maybe as long as an hour. The ViceRoy is perfect if you plan to stay only on the westside, Santa Monica, Brentwood or Venice during the work days as well as if you are seeking easy access to Malibu. There are no drug stores or convenient marts within walking distance of the hotel, so driving will be necessary if in need of these goods.
