The Wilshire Grand Hotel in downtown Los Angeles is located in the heart of LA’s financial district. The hotel is a glass high rise and has an expansive lobby with multiple entrances. The hotel is walking distance to all the major attractions of downtown LA including Staples Center, LA Live, the historic Broadway Theater District and Disney’s Concert Hall. The immediate area does not have too many choices in the way of shopping, dining and entertainment as it is located in a mostly commercial area that closes down after 5 on M-F and the weekends. With less than a 10 minute walk, the LA Live area is full of dining, shopping and entertainment options.
The hotel is ideal for the business traveler who is planning on spending most of their time in Downtown Los Angeles visiting the convention center or attending meetings at other nearby hotels.
Visitors looking to travel beyond downtown to Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice and Santa Monica will find that downtown LA is somewhat segregated from those areas. Drive time to Hollywood at rush hour can be up to 45 minutes while up to an hour to other areas of the city. During off peak times travel time to the beach areas, Beverly Hills and Hollywood are less than 30 minutes. However LA's limited subway line does run within a five minute walk to the hotel where visitors can ride out to Hollywood and Universal Studios.
