The Westin Bonaventure with its pure glass exterior, atrium lobby and prominent location in downtown Los Angeles is one of the most photographed hotels in the world. The hotel is known as an architectural wonder and is comprised of five 35 story glass towers. Each of the five towers is accessed by a glass outdoor elevator giving visitors spectacular views of all of downtown Los Angles and the San Gabriel Mountains as they ride to their room. Within the lobby are a six story atrium that is home to indoor lakes, gardens and oasis of relaxation. In addition the atrium also houses over 42 restaurants and shops. The hotel has over 1,354 rooms, 94 suits and 41 hospitality suits.
The Westin Bonaventure is walking distance to the Disney Concert Hall, historic Broadway Theater district and the Staple Center, LA Live and Nokia Theater to name a few. The area immediately surrounding the hotel is the financial district. There is a scattering of dining and shopping options, but the bulk of these opportunities are more down by the Staples Center and LA Live area.
Visitors looking to travel beyond downtown to Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice and Santa Monica will find that downtown LA is somewhat segregated from those areas. Drive time to Hollywood at rush hour can be up to 45 minutes while up to an hour to other areas of the city. During off peak times travel time to the beach areas, Beverly Hills and Hollywood are less than 30 minutes.
