BURBANK AIRPORT

Burbank Airport is located in the San Fernando Valley on the other side of the hill from Hollywood. Burbank airport is a domestic airport only and serves visitors and locals looking to travel mainly within the west coast with a few points west. The terminal layout of Burbank is very small in comparison to LAX. Passengers disembark their flights via air stairs and must walk on the tarmac and into the terminal. From there transportation into the points of interest is relatively easy. For those looking to visit Hollywood only, Burbank is a more viable option than LAX. As mentioned Burbank serves more of the west coast cities. Southwest Airlines carries a significant amount of this traffic with frequent flights to Oakland, San Jose, Las Vegas and Sacramento. Jetblue offers daily nonstop flights to New York's JFK and American offers service to Dallas/Ft. Worth.

The easiest way to leave Burbank and head into LA proper is to take Hollywood Way that runs adjacent to the terminals south into the main Burbank area. Hollywood Way leads right into the main studios of Disney and Warner Brothers with Universal being a mile to the west. The 134 Freeway crosses Hollywood Way which takes visitors to the 101 and into Hollywood or to the 405.
